Today is the beginning of a new adventure in ballooning. We have just signed off to have Kavanagh Balloons build a new balloon, who will be called “Balloony McBalloonface”.
We had been kicking around the idea of using ballooning to bring some good to the world and what better way to do it than by putting a smile on everyone’s face.
We are keeping this new balloon a secret from everybody, even our family. The grand reveal is planned for the first flight at the Canowindra International Balloon Challenge which runs from 21st to 29th April 2018. We hope to surprise everyone when the balloon inflates and smiles across the crowd.
The balloon will be a Kavanagh EX-60 Racer balloon. This is a “small” 60,000 cubic foot balloon specially designed for competition ballooning. It is able to carry up to 2 people (the pilot and 1 passenger) and it’s slick shape will allow it to be very responsive in competition.
It is 3 months until we will unveil Balloony McBalloonface, so hopefully we will be able to keep the secret.
